  • Turn department into a value adding operational improvement team

  • Recover team costs 5 times by confirmed improvements

​Core Challenges:

  • Took over department without proper team and high personnel turnover as recent hires turned out insufficiently suited and hiring process flawed

  • Establish trust throughout the group in team competence and approach

Core Achievements:

  • Developed an entirely new hiring process which eliminated high turnover

  • Over 10x of team costs in improvements confirmed by the local entities per year

  • Internal Audit got requested for special project support by local entities as well as division management and other functions

  • Team developed into an in-house talent pool for operational units

  • Became part of the extended group management team and one of five so called "future leader"

  • Got promoted to division management team of the largest division to restructure their sales processes

  • Support Head of IA in developing a more operational improvement focus

  • Bring sales excellence knowledge to the team

  • Help colleagues change out of their comfort zone towards a more data and solution driven approach 

  • Overcome local prejudice against Internal Audit as a purely compliance focused entity

  • Establish trust and confidence in consulting advise

Core Achievements:

  • Drove development of a new audit tools including:

       a.) Detailed operational data analysis

       b.) Business risk reporting and

       c.) Collaborative solution development

  • Developed restructuring plan for a former Franke subsidiary and was requested as CRO, but denied as promotion to Head of IA was considered more beneficial to the group (see Restructuring and Turnaround sample project)

Tasks:

  • Support companies in financial distress to achieve turnaround

  • Support partner in development of consulting tools for sales force improvement and strategy development

​Core Challenges:

  • Acceptance from often elderly client management for young consultant with often drastic recommendations

Core Achievements:

  • Co-developed new consultancy tools for:

       a.) Net Working Capital Optimisation

       b.) Sales Force Optimisation 

       c.) Go-to-market strategy.

  • Got proposed twice by clients for interim CRO role, but got rejected by banks as being too young at 29

  • Recommended the dismissal of a client's CEO and then got tasked by the same CEO to manage the company's M&A under distress process, since "nobody had bigger balls and better understanding of our company"

  • On track to become project manager, but then got headhunted to Franke in Switzerland
